Entanglement harvesting with coherently delocalized matter

We study entanglement harvesting for matter systems such as atoms, ions or molecules, whose center of mass degrees freedom are quantum delocalized and which couple to a relativistic field. employ generalized Unruh-deWitt detector model the light-matter interaction, we investigate how coherent spreading wave function two impacts their ability become entangled with one another, via respective interaction For very massive detectors initially highly localized centers mass, recover results pointlike classical freedom. find that is Gaussian suppressed in initial delocalization detectors. further spatial smearing profiles, commonly employed finite size atoms due atomic orbitals, not suited delocalization. Finally, coherently detectors, compare vacuum media. significantly media propagation speed much smaller than light.
